North Shore Vocal Studio offers Master Classes and workshops for universities, schools, and groups.
What is a master class? In a master class a student will get up in front of their colleagues, or an invited audience. They will perform a piece of their choosing, and then the master teacher will coach them on that piece of music. Master classes can be incredibly beneficial. The student is able to work on performing in public, with all of the unique challenges that presents. The other students and audience can observe the work being done, and can often apply that to their own singing. The master class is a rare opportunity to combine voice lessons/coachings with work on public performance.
A vocal workshop is similar to a master class, but often involves a limited number of students in a less public environment. The element of performance is still present, but a vocal workshop closely resembles a voice lesson among colleagues and friends.
